KOM Networks announces support for HP-UX 9.0 on HP 9000/800 systems

KOM Networks is pleased to announce the availability of their OptiFile® II and OptiServer® II products for Hewlett-Packard 9000/800 series computer systems running version 9.0 of HP-UX™.

OptiFile II is intended to provide the transparent integration of rewritable, WORM and multi-function optical disk drives in 3.5", 5.25", 12" and 14" formats. Each disk appears to the operating system to be a magnetic disk drive, regardless of the type of media used. OptiServer II is intended to provide the same level of transparent integration for jukeboxes (autochangers) of optical disk drives in 5.25", 12", and 14" formats. Each optical volume within the jukebox appears to the operating system to be a logical magnetic disk drive.

OptiFile® and OptiServer® are also available for RISC/Ultrix workstations and AXP/OSF-1 systems from Digital Equipment, SPARCstation™ and SPARCserver™ systems from Sun Microsystems running SunOS.

OptiFile® and OptiServer® are also available for AXP (Aplha) systems, Q-bus, UNIBUS and BI-bus VAX™ systems, as well as the VAXstation™ 3100, 3520 and 3540 and MircoVAX™ 3100 systems running the VMS™ operating system.
